An inch or two Just about A peek over the rim To the mass inside Almost there A void of space for the viewing and interact Riches, happieness, success, even love Almost there I can almost see, As I continue to strain Blood shot Pratice and rehearse Again and again Like addiction Misunderstood Drive and Im blind Poverty The best almost Lightly frizzled mind A dork inside And yet I continue to try No support and they tell me to quit Almost sad I cant stop Like a prison of motivation And with a tear to prove this Its worse than nicotine or heroin Slave to my own creation As wretched as it is Truly a work in progress On and on forever a trickle of music from a well |
