Flower burning candied waters, embers falling and flowing rocks
A river lost inside a temple where the mountain meets the lake
Hews of blues ascend unable, to break the temple from the river’s wake
So the mountain bends and the water’s candy turns dissembled
While the embers burn the wilted crystaled flowers into ash to fall un-kindled
Sleeping away the winter for a time to come and go
As the beasts of least pass unable to find their homes beneath the snow
Left to die, tired and hungry, cold and slowly, until the moment of flesh ripping envy
Given to the lonely fox, skinny, weak, and without a meal, panting in the snow behind the ridge…waiting for a time to vulture past the flying buzzards to the carcus, and scavenge for the rest of his life, unable to comprehend the enormous wolf standing not to far off panting, hungry, and licking his chops…
