I refuse
your "wisdom",
for minds are
distinguished by difference.

Our fathers,
they have earned no respect.
So we have forgotten,
they spoke to us with iron fists.

I'm not too deeply
concerned with your opinion.
I don't care what you think unless
it interests me.

Selfish, I know..perhaps
I'm just jealous and insecure.
Or maybe I just chose not to
muffle my open mind with
your foolish advice.

I will not sacrifice my pride, nor
my imagination..my senses tell me,
that you aren't worthy of the deed.

Growing up, I've become
intellectually inclined..
I don't often share my thoughts unless
I write.

Don't tell me
where you think I need improvement,
unless you're willing to
improve yourself first.

exactly..you know...honestly I realized I'm so much better off without ppl's opinions...and their "wisdom" umm you kinda know what I mean? it just doesn't matter to me anymore..woohooo go me and being bitter
