On the Inside Looking Out

The air is thick with tears
releasing their ache,
the chill ripples through
and I shiver as I patrol my life, hers,
wondering if brighter days
are around the corner
if they can replace the sunsets
of our past and will the silence
stay my words, hold back the moans
that wail internally.

There will be black to wear,
a wardrobe I have plenty of,
and heartstrings played
and another journal entry of poetry
spoken before all, then placed
in a keepsake box, I plan to make
so I will have felt useful
while stuck between these lines.

Nothing is easy anymore.
I think selfishly at times about
what am I going to do
when I am all alone, as if
my aloneness now is not the same.
I would send you this rain,
but it fits my mood and the damp
gives excuse to sit here
on the inside...
looking out.

M

Maureen, I am so sorry. I wish there was something
I could do to ease your pain. Both of you are staying
in my thoughts and prayers, sweet lady.
Hugs for you and your sister,
Ethel

This reads so sad nakdthoughts. I like it. On the inside looking out. Alice Cooper once wrote a song titled that...and now whenever I see it in print I always stop to read. Thanks for the momentary glimpse of insight. You friend always. KRM

You express your deepest feelings so openly, so honestly--and so eloquently. I could not help but be moved by your words.
Healing prayers are being sent for your sister, you, and the rest of your family.

Sending a rainbow of healing lights,
EA

Ethel..thank you. I am ok...just watching the rainfall and wondering what tomorrow will bring... I am getting use to the wait/weight of wondering and not knowing when...

thank you again for caring
