When I stop to think of all the things that I would do for love, those little things that I would do, the ones that I can think of the little insignificants, not much individually, yet, it’s everything, its what I’d do, your needs would all be met. I’d give to you an ear; you take your pick out of the two, to listen when you want to talk, I’ll wait until you’re through, and nod my head to let you know I caught your every word, and that I value what you say, to let you know I’ve heard. I’d think of you at strangest times, like when I’m making out my grocery list of things to buy, the things you’ve asked about, and then surprise you with a little nothing that I’ve found, a little insignificant, some small thing to astound. I’d cook some Swedish meatballs, I’d make them all from scratch, And serve them with a salad and some cookies, a whole batch of chocolate chip, your favorite, with extra chips and nuts, I’d make your favorite hoagie, wheat bread filled with cold cuts. I’d give you my opinion, always when the time was right, about those things that bother you, that get you all uptight, I’d let you use my shoulder, to cry on when you're sad, And tell you you’re the greatest lover that I’ve ever had. I’d give birth to your children, all bright and starry-eyed, I’d work with you and come up with what rules they must abide, I’d defend you, I’d commend you, I’d brag about your traits, I’d shout it from the mountain; you’re the very best of mates. So as I stop to think of all the things I’d do for love, the list keeps getting longer and it’s more than I can think of in such a span of time as this, this lifetime that I live, I'd give my insignificants, they're all I have to give. ~.~ |

How I enjoy your playing of words...insignificant, not... but I can see how others might think so. Read a wonderful article the other day, about the choice of a father to be the stay-at-home parent... No, these are not insignificant choices... they speak of merit, and value... |

You had this one hidden from me MorninGlory...but I found it! Bravo! They are not insignificants though. They are the very essence of what love is. It's the little everyday things that say the most. Thanks for sharing this one. LOVED IT! |
