As i dim the lights and pull down the mint green satin sheets and fluff my pillow my eyes begin tearing drops of the love i had for you probably you're out cruising all dressed in new and dancing your flirting eyes perhaps we were wrong for each other at the time but as i remember it was both that wanted solitude and a solid relationship was it because i was blind or were you using me as a safe harbor till the storm within you calmed yes my heart was fooled by the parasite of your love you only told me the things my heart yearned to hear and you played the part so very well so now i craw between the sheets alone with my heart bleeding my remaining love for you |
