Caught up in believing that each day could offer more
Leaping blind with ever hope to reach what life is for
Dreaming of a miracle, of one day still to come
Feeling naked and exposed to life and what is done

At times the chains they seem to free a little of the soul
Which drifts to find some happiness to somehow make it whole
To build upon the dreams within and hopes of everyday
Thank God for hope and miracles, which help along the way

Fate, it seems a premise of which nature can’t define
Good luck seems what comes rarely, as the pleasure of good wine
Life’s fortune could be calling, though we never seem to hear
Most days seem partly cloudy and my vision’s not too clear

Does the feeling of contentment hide amidst the minds own rage?
To show but all so rarely on life’s trek from youth to age
Is love God’s one disciple who is bound to free our soul?
As prayers are just our wishing well and sanctuary we stroll?

Much can kill the you inside, for life comes at a cost
But often we just wonder through, unsure of what we’ve lost
For though life shows its trinkets, most are like the fools own gold
Full of warmth and promise, but a lie that turns you cold

So struggle on my friends, my foe, dear people who all hope
Let’s join as one to all believe that faith can help us cope
Lets pray and throw a penny with a wish into the well
Lets gather all life’s misery and send it back to hell

And throw a party, you and I and they with we and them
To etch our words of love on life and seal them with amen
And cast out there a life full, so others can believe
That prayers and little wishes send the blessings we receive

Rick, this was an awesome write...we all ive with uncertainty, all we can do is cherish the time (eac and every moment) we have with our loved ones, and allow things to happen when they do.  We are so connected, in birth and in death...we have no choice exept to fillin the inbetween time...to learn...to solve...to perfect to become a purer energy, which effect everything and everyone around us.  We can choose to compliment that time, or abuse it...we can have a good life but what we cannot have is an agenda...there are no guarentees for that in-between time, and the perfection in it all is....it won't be flawless...only a small portion of it will....

Now look at the insight you've gone and sparked so early in the morning with this ray of light and lesson learned...terrific write...one of the best of yours I've read I think...thank you my friend, happy Friday and have a lovely weekend ahead.

Love to you and yours

"For though life shows its trinkets, most are like the fools own gold
Full of warmth and promise, but a lie that turns you cold"

"Lets pray and throw a penny with a wish into the well
Lets gather all life’s misery and send it back to hell"

Not only does the rhythm and rhyme of this flow beautifully, Rick ... but your thoughts as well. I think I shall print this one and place it close by for the days I need a little push to remember that the good and bad days are only what we make of them. An incredible write ... a wonderful and thought-filled ponder. I just loved this.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Rick, Kit sent me your poem to read and I am taking this with me today, to read many times over, as right now I feel your words more than usual.  What an incredible poem Rick, and I truly thank both Kit for sending it and you for your talent.

Rick, this is so perfect, the flow, the words, the inside of it..

"Much can kill the you inside, for life comes at a cost
But often we just wonder through, unsure of what we’ve lost
For though life shows its trinkets, most are like the fools own gold
Full of warmth and promise, but a lie that turns you cold"

That one affects me the most.

Very nice!!! So true to the way life really is. In the end we are all one. We should ALL try to get along and be there to pick the other one up not tear them down. We may be the very person that crosses that someone's path that only we could have the right words to say that give them the light of enlightenment to move forward, but more than that..move forward whole, and feeling their is purpose, and meaning to being them. Isn't that what life is *truly* about. Reaching out to our fellow man, and making this world a batter place!!! I loved this. WOW!!! I wish my printer worked. This should be a motto for our America when people are sworn in for citizenship!!!! AMAZING!!!
