In Paisley's Park the children play, While artists gather on the quay, To dream of things both great and small, For noble rhythms they would scrawl, Here on the shores of disarray. Life is a dream. A sweet cliché, Scented perfume, a fresh bouquet, It's the flow of a southern drawl, In Paisley's Park. Yea our troubles we'll laugh away, And contemplate life's great essay, On earth the eyes of love enthrall, The hand's of Death we might forestall, For goodwill is never passe, In Paisley's Park. |

Many vivid images floated through my mind as I read this...I recalled days in the '60s when life was spent in parks, when ideas and ideals were still worth discovering. Yes, I enjoyed this poem very much, and it reminded me of how things have changed!! ~S~ Accept these small gifts from my gypsy heart ~~S~~ |

Thank-you for the response sunnyone. I am glad you enjoyed this poem. Some days we all need to just slow down and visit Paisley Park. For it is from there that creativity flows oft times. |

What a wonderful name for a park, this takes me back to the sixties (showing my age) and flower children and free love and .. well, we won't go there. Great poem, and love the thought of such delightful inspiration! ~ becky |
