We're Going To Miss You

This is a goodbye... My family and I are going on vacation over the next several weeks. I will probably stop in here a few more times before we go, but might be too busy.

This poem I wrote last year before we left on vacation.

It’s time to go on our trip
I know it’s going to be fun
We will have a great time
However, until it’s done,
I know we’re going to miss you

Sometimes we have to make the choice
That will take us different ways
But know that we’re always friends
Until the end of our days
But I know we’re going to miss you

And when the tears fill your eyes
Remember the joys you’ve had
Memories can bring a smile
Even when your heart is sad
But I know we’re going to miss you

Move on in our Father’s plan
And if I cannot see you
I’ll still be praying for you
And I know I’ll miss you, too
Yeah, I know we’re going to miss you

But I’m glad God’s leading us
Through the joy that we’ve gone through
And to the place He’s brought us to
Even though we’re going to miss you
