I feel the pain of watching her
my grasp slipping
I create words to hold onto
but they echo only emptiness
I am walking her grief
sidestepping its finality
catching tears of why
choking on each breath
finding life
hard to swallow.

"Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less."

Beautiful write!

"I am walking her grief"

These few lines say so much.  This really conveyed strong feelings.

Thanks.

thank you Vicky...

Dulci,  if I didn't get to tell you (thought I did ~sighing~)
no good news...the lung cancer is inoperable and although was only detected 2 months ago, during her hernia operation it spread and  is very near her pulmonary artery...and that ends her liver transplant wait.

There is no good news, just day to day living as best she can...I will be spending tomorrow with her to help sort through things and make a room ready for me to spend the nights if she should need me...other than that, it is a "weighting" game.

hugs and thanks for thinking of us.

I am trying not to leave anyone out who has responded, before I leave today.

Crystal, I guess it is inevitable that sickness will take a life sooner or later..I always hoped it would be much later...
