The Door Won’t the world stop it’s spinning, If even for a moment... How long will the Fates keep grinning At my timely torment? My Heart and my Valor, sprawled out on the floor, Rise only to try to die even more. Can this be a nightmare? Have I dreamt this before? Not with my ears aware Of the noise at the Door. An unwelcome break in an unwelcome state, My head does ache, My patience can’t wait. Can help or harm come With the hour so late? Though Death may rejoice, I prefer to have a Voice And not exchange my Fate for my Choice. Whatever Horror stands outside my Door Cannot be worse than not guiding the Tour. Though outcome unknown, an exit was sought. An exit was needed; an exit was brought. I’ll accept the price, or accept my prize. I’ll accept my fortune or accept my demise. Though fear surrounds me, I need no more. This is my Choice to walk through this Door. |
