more than sisters streaks of bleak on a velvet sky hiding more than behind the eye cold and cutting her words of dread she calls herself "the living dead" unsheltered from the storm that looms a view distorted, no unassumes just dress up moments of yesterday when time was framed and her voice could say no shoulders, we, on others placed we're more than sisters, though distance spaced in years, we share such losses, real of love, of family, of each in feel we're more than sisters until the end we are each other's blended friend. Maureen, this poem really touched me. It's so good to hear of family members getting along and meaning so much to each other. My Mom and I are more than Mother and daughter... we are also friends. when there is very little time left and the only hope is of one more day you put aside any family grievances, sibling rivalries, and you try to make the most of what is left...you can never go back you can only make better, if anything, and although you want time to pass slowly you also wish for it to come quickly enough to stop the pain.
