Inspired (2002) I can’t see what you want me to see. Am I blind or are you? I can’t be what you want me to be. Am I content? Are you? I’m not as experienced as you, But I’m as journeyed. I’m not as wise as you, But I’m learning. You told me to go catch another Star, But I don’t know how. You told me to run to the water, But you are the Well, and I’m thirsty now. I don’t care if there are stares. I don’t care if happiness precedes tears. I just know that if God answers my prayers, A moment with you will last a thousand years. |
