autumn waves a greeting
from the distant east
yet it is only teasing
bringing fanciful thoughts
of cooler days
gentle rains
and bits of restful repose

the thermometer
still threatens heat
for days yet to come

for now, though,
I shall linger in these thoughts
of tempered, peaceful
cool

I know this feeling,  I think?  But,  thanx
to a tropical storm,  all I feel right now
is sorta "Springy"  and soggy!!

It's been a little cooler here than nnormal, but it'll soon be heating up again.

wow, that was really soothing virginia. it had a beautiful flow to it.

I love autumn too. the leaves, the rain, the wind. makes you feel like taking walks, all bundled up.
