Such A Small Thing
~*Marge Tindal*~

It seemed such a small thing
hearing a tiny heart in break
but oh my, oh ... my
the quake
the quake
the quake~

It seemed such a small thing
her tiny tears in fall
but oh, oh ... my my my
they were so big after all~

She seemed such a small thing
that little spirit of my meet
but oh, oh, oh
how I felt the patter
of her tiny feet~

She seemed such a small thing
as upon the staircase she cowered
ruffled flannel to her feet
oh little Sarah
please do not retreat~

It seemed such a small thing
this moment between us
but oh my ... my my my
She smiled such a timid smile
then quickly she ascended~

Sarah ... Sarah
come back little waif
I want to know your tears
and why they fall ...
I will not hurt you, Sarah
I'll help you climb the wall
over the years of conquer
away away
away from it all~

She seemed such a small thing
but remains within my heart
oh my ... oh my my my
Sarah ... oh little Sarah
come back when you are ready
I'll be waiting ... I promise~

*I met the spirit of Sarah on a staircase at the Artisan,
a local historic hotel and restaurant in our town*

Such a stirring write!
You wove the tapestry
for all to see and
experience
with you!

This is so affecting. I was anxious at the end for her to come back to you. You drew me in, lady. Well done.

Oh, Marge, what a wonderful experience for both you and Sarah. I am glad she found you and I know you can do much for her spirit.

You will both be in my thoughts ...

Wow, marge, my mum once had a similar experience on a staircase, with a spirit of a child/children. She senses spirits all the time, and their emotions.

Keeping this, it is tender and heartwrenching. I hope she is ok.

Instant karma's gonna get you.

Marge...I love this tale of a ghostly meeting with the little girl named, Sarah. Beautifully penned and I could almost imagine your surprise at meeting her. The repetition of your phrases outstanding in this poem. ***Ivy Rose

Beautifully rendered Marge ... a whisper to the spirit from a "gentle spirit". May she cross over and have peace.

Best wishes,
