Are you hungry?
Well, don’t just stand there
Pull up a chair, and dig in
We don’t stand on formalities here
Once you take a chair at the table
you are family
Grab a plate, smile at your neighbor
then prepare to feast upon
whatever your soul desires
If you are thirsty, we pour you wine
Rich, full-bodied, heady
Meant to satisfy your passionate needs
Be it white and light
filled with humour, bubbling, sparkling
Or dark and rich
Like the blood of a poet’s very soul
Filled with desire, and unspoken yearnings
Your plate is empty
Are you shy?
At this table is a King’s fare
From delicate appetisers
to the most heavy sweets
dripping with nectar of the gods
Your soul’s desire is laid out before you
A Passionate Poetic Feast
And no one leaves this table hungry
Eat as much as you like
but don’t forget to thank the cooks!

Hey thanks...I never realized how hard it was to write lines that didn't rhyme!!!! Comes from too many years of writing songs, so this was kinda fun for a change!!  LOL!!!
