Our touch has a memory...deeper
than we know.

Perhaps once you were the
wind. And I...a single
blade of grass -
Left swaying in the wake
of your caress.

Or perhaps I was the
ocean. And you...you were the
shore -
So patient to the rise
and fall of my desire.

We have lived this touch
before.

Perhaps you were a summer storm...passing
briefly in the night.
Perhaps I was the arid ground...pulling
close your every drop.

Or perhaps I was an autumn leaf...left
clinging for a moment longer on
the reaches of your branch.

Perhaps you whispered to me..."let go...let go
we will know this touch again."

And now...we find ourselves
here.

Remembering.

Here's a truthful compliment:  this poem achieved the highest attainment for me -- what I call "The Goosebump Factor".  Simply beautiful.

I love all about this write, Eric.  The sheer essence of concept...the way your words flowed upon the page...the images...just every nuance.  Your thoughts here will definitely last a life time for me.

I've read this three times...and each time, fell deeper into the poem than even I knew I could go...

Excellent!

Aaahh.. pure spirit and magic carried on the sweetest love breeze... the wind kissing, gently caressing the inside of my soul.  What an incredibly beautiful, divine mark left within that will live beyond eternity.

Thank you...

I love you,

Oh Eric...
I echo Mark's goosebump factor. This was such a beautiful piece of poetry, it lingers long after the read...like sugar melting on the tongue. TD

I'm with Mark V Sheldon, goosebumps, oh yes.

You know, I have felt this before, with people i know, every once in a while, you meet friends, loves, and family members, and just ~feel~ you have loved and known them before. Rare are these people. And oh so special.

Into my library, and i'm off for another read.

Always a pleasure to read your thoughts m friend.
