Lost little girl standing on her own Crying, shaking, wondering why A little love is all she asks Yet gets none from the one at home He stands there listening Knowing that she is in pain Yet he comforts her not Alone she stands In the rain of her own tears Caused by the hurt of her heart He knows she needs him there A gentle hug, a healing kiss He ignores her silent pleading And walks away when she cries We are all equal but we’re individually different |

Very touching, and sadly true in many cases of child neglect. Chris "Hope" is the thing with feathers |

Ringo, this is a very touching poem. It made me cry too. I could almost see her. I wish that I could hug every one of the little children who long so for just a little attention. Hugs to you for this Ethel |

This theme you chose translated elsewhere as I read it...to relationships that grow cold, and circumstances that cannot be changed. There is a tenderness in your write that is very special. TD |
