to find my breath

while in the rawness
of emotion
laid bare at your words
brief solitude is all I seek
a chance to rebuild
the facade of smile
to resume the position
of meek....
and gather my thoughts
as you see,
they scattered
or was it they spilled?
does it even matter?
If you’ll give me just a moment
I’ll be able to pretend again
that it doesn’t.........
