It seems that I have found a place, not far from here, yet so far away. Somewhere in between the gray of light, and the shadow of the darkness. Here, I have fallen many times, yet I do not have to look up in fear of being judged. In this place, I can self-destruct, and no one can see the mess I have made. I think of you often, and remember when you and I promised to never visit this place again. Yet, here I am, full of you and so... our promise is broken, because, once again...we are both here. It was easier to be stuck between the gray, and the darkness, the shadow and the light... When you were here beside me. That was when, misery needed company, when, two bent souls, fed from each others weakness. You have survived, and I have not... You went on to step outside the darkness, and I... remain in the shadows. It's not fun here anymore, I have no one to blame it on, it all comes down to me now. I am the reason I'm here. You told me once that one day I would see that... Finally, I have. I only wished that you were around to say... "I told you so." |
