I think

I shall

strap this thought
with the sinews of pixellated ink
and plop it down here
in this blue century
of Open 28

much like I
   was
in the Century 20
(by Gregory's reckoning)

and it makes me wonder
about words
how very much like us they are

spirits flying in the heaven of Mind

given weight
by the sphere they inhabit

of lines and angles

       to measure
and be
     measured

for that is what works
in this atmosphere

to be perceived
and thus...to be remembered
always
    in the Archives
by those you would
someday
want to stop by the grave-marker

and leave a bouquet of flowers
to say
    I was here
and I remember

that our words...indeed ourselves
are but
trees

sprouted from the wind-blown
featureless plain

         hands grasping up
to catch the knowledge

of the eternal wind

and in doing so

make a sound
of resistance

that
       can be

measured

Brian...I've been watching for a poem from you,
and this was well worth the wait.

Have I told you lately that you're beautiful?
Well, you are.

Hugs to you, friend...

you take the simple
roll it around in that brain
of yours
and spit it out onto the page
birthing masterpieces

I have no idea how you do this
but please, do not stop

It's pretty huge, isn't it?  Thinking that words can have so much power and influence in them, and to have them touch so many.  Yours are very touching, indeed.

Loved this
