Lost and Found
By Paul Wilson

This game I play with words of rhyme
Captured in the grasp of time
The moment has past… the word is lost
Who now will pay the cost

A thousand stories left untold
These words of rhyme I couldn’t hold
Get a quill and write them down
Hurry now… while they still can be found

A fleeting glimpse of long ago
A look to the future the mind will show
Close your eyes and open your mind
You might be surprised what you find

Follow the dreams of poets past
Share your words for they vanish too fast
Let your heart be the pad
Writing the dreams we’ve all had

Tomorrow brings another day
Listen closely hear what I say
Another journey we will start
Come with me it’s time to depart

"To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you"

excellently expressed Paul , yes I only began writing a few years ago and am so glad I did , it allows emotions usually hidden to flow free

Paul, this is so beautiful. The way most writers
actually feel.

very well done......your line of "share the words, for they vanish too fast.....couldn't have come at a better time for me.  I've posted a poem here in the last few days that I've been debating on whether or not to give it to the intended person.   I know if I dont'.......it will never be said.  Maybe its time to do so.   You are right.......they do vanish too fast and then all you are left with is regret.

HopeS...Thanks for reading.I'm sort of like you, I wrote 1 poem and for 2 years didn't write another one. I find that writing really helps me get in touch with my inner self and when the words come it's like I can't write them fast enough. Thanks for your reply...Paul

Ethel...You are so right about this is how most writers feel. Sometime we search and
search for our poems and can't ever seem to find the right words and at other times they flow like the wind. Thanks for the read and as always your sweet reply...Paul

Seymour...Thank you for reading and your reply. Glad you enjoyed it...Paul

Lisaann...I'm so glad you took the time to read and I hope that special someone you mentioned hears what you are saying in your poem. Thanks for your reply and I hope all works out okay...Paul

(big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I believe too in always writing whatever we feel because then our loved ones and children will always know and feel what we all were like and leave our hearts behind so they can sing our songs! (smiles) This is lovely, sweet friend, write on, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Paul, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
