A flash in the pan
A thought gone from the mind
Gone, gone like the last, limp light
It sets sail upstream
Through unseen, seaweed allegories
Escaping wooden eyes and newer days
An eagle stalking prey, I go swoop like
An owl in the noisy night, killing snakes
My entire body in line
Perfect, light, streamlined
My head moves
It swivels on my head like a magnet
Is it magic?
I see all, this is a mission
I see behind me, nightvision
The perfect earth around me drops
And this is how I fly
I am alive
A day-sleeper in a time of endless nights
In love with the ugly I am

I think you're in love with otherness....and that may be very beautiful indeed. Hold it. Hold it tight.
