One of life's more painful experiences (I think) is watching and knowing ahead of time; it is followed of course by knowing what comes next.  All made painful by not being able to stop or change anything.

Awareness can drive a poet mad.  Please find safe distraction.

You have written this well.  Thank you for sharing it.

...at least tin foil can be recycled, whereas a zip-lock bag preserves things that should have been thrown away a long time ago.
