VISUALIZE A PICTURE BEFORE ME

Lost into continual dreams I trace,
Seated upon bedding within my place.
Nearby window, set partly open, fetch
Scented breeze of honeysuckle to sketch;
Abstract images from garden foliage grow,
Planted where? I could not know.
Numb acute senses quicken sharply thought,
Followed sudden anxiety by deep onslaught.
Yearn with focus, acquired sounds declare,
Birds' song and vocal children's laughter;
Outside my place, I know somewhere!
Moments phase onward, while I become
Aware to warmth that nurturing strum,
Intensive with directness. Now its' seize
Feels colder alongside wispy inward breeze
When heavy shadows grace my face.
Unsettled to memories, I now embrace!
Fallen silence, often tears I reply:
Birds' song quiet, children's laughter pass,
With fear I sense forgotten loneliness
