Butterfly Thoughts Butterfly thoughts flutter in blue midnight A creature of day soars in soft moonlight I claim capture of she now in quill of net Lest I tremble not of fear and regret Held close under my lens I shall magnify To examine she now in a sigh of why With her gentle spread of night, she reveals My wish a butterfly’s soul to steal Yet I release she now, a thought set free With surrender I find inside of me To now allow a poet’s pen to ride With a silk of flow and a smooth of glide [This message has been edited by Patricia (08-02-2003 10:19 AM).] |

Good morning, Patricia! Your poet's pen truly does "ride with a silk of flow and a smooth of glide." Write on; write often! Linda |

I enjoyed this. Butterfly are such simple creatures who could teach us all a thing about living. Good Job! |

Patricia, I read this early this morning when I was on the internet. I really thought I had left a reply. I see that I didn't though. I think it's because I went looking for a butterfly to put on here and got sidetracked. LOL Anyway, I'm back...without a butterfly. HaHa!! I'm going to keep this delightful poem, though, so I will always have a butterfly close by. Thanks. Hugs Ethel |

Wow. Captivating, just like the butterfly herself. Mesmorized with her in flight...the way these words took off, and soared into fancy my heart. Very pretty!!!! SharaRose @-->-- Of sound, and speech let all lift the hearer! |

Oh my, this is absolutely wonderful... your writing Patricia reminds of a most talented poet who frequented these pages regularly...I miss reading him. I do believe he stops by from time to time. His name is Michael Anderson. I'd love for him to read you as well. here are a few links to his poems... /pip/Forum34/HTML/000439.html /pip/Forum34/HTML/000383.html Maree fate is not just whose cooking smells good but which way the wind blows (Ani DiFranco) [This message has been edited by Dark Angel (08-03-2003 08:08 AM).] |
