There dockside I’m watching her sail away Water ride Through the morning mist of day, Exiting the bay’s wide mouth Wordlessly watch the ship now in shrinking, Heading farther off to south Of our parting words my mind is thinking By the moons mirror pool, There you left alone Flames of desire now cool, Cold down to the bone. I could not go home, Just a wandering lost fool Till beside the shore eyes blinking Distance increasing with the slow passing day. By morning You might be gone three hundred miles away And mourning Here inside my heart you’ll forever stay. Gloom |

I could feel your sinking feelings as she sailed off into the distance. A very touching write by a graceful hand. EA |
