Ode to Cleaning Litter Boxes

Once a week
The cats prove
The litter boxes
Need a good cleaning

The cats decide
To pee everywhere
Instead of in the
Litter boxes
Until they have been cleaned

So once a week
You have to dump out the litter
Wash out the boxes
Put new litter in
And put down
New newspaper under the litter boxes

You can only handle this job
Once a week
Or your nose
Will rot off

You think as you clean
The litter boxes
How can these cats
Stand using this

I got a chuckle while reading this.Haven't had a cat in years, but boy do I remember it like yesterday

I have to sift mine everyday,
or then I have in kind to pay,
just as you, oh, yes, I do,
but only new every month or two.
(in other words, I have Fresh Step and I only have to buy all new once in awhile, of course, I buy 21# at a time and slowly as possible add it to replace the daily loss.)

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
