At least the pain is gone now

My heart relieved,

My body retrieved,

My soul believed.
Tragedy has been diverted this day

The Women chant pro-choice,

Wine drinkers quote James Joyce,

A distant song caresses my voice.
Belief in the world is essential

Though lack of faith may have flared,

Hope has always dared,

Through love a lifetime can be shared.
