~* A Kiss *~ Life found them both too busy, Burning a candle at both ends. These two had met often before In the company of their friends. Time passed, as it oft it will do, Their fate now permanently sealed. For they looked beyond the package, To see what their hearts revealed. They had a wonderful marriage, Each was the other’s best friend. Enjoying life together, Their happiness would never end. Well, life went on as oft it does, To find each had changed in mood. Time had a way of changing the cards, Each one now held a hand no good. In such hurtful spoken words Love began to slowly turn to hate, Neither one was really quite sure They wanted to stay with their mate. Soon each lived in an ominous shadow Lurking around corners in silence. He looked at her in anger and pain, Was he now going to resort to violence? In tattered hearts lay all the words That each of them so missed, In a split second, he made his choice He grabbed his wife, and kissed. They melted all the ice that day, Arose from their own abyss, He chose not to raise a hand to her Instead he chose ... ~* a kiss *~ I don't want to know where I am going, it will ruin my journey. Carpe' Diem [This message has been edited by Mysteria (08-03-2003 05:21 PM).] |

If that was a challenge, I must say, you exceeded...and made me smile. There has to be a starting point even when starting over. Well done, gal! |

Sharon- This should be required reading for all pre-marriage classes. It is a tale very well told. We are all equal but we’re individually different |

Sharon I wish it was that easy and enjoyable to solve the problems of a marriage. Think how many happy people there would be. Loved the poem! |

I really enjoyed all of the individual comments on this one. Sometimes, not all the time, it will only take a tender touch or a simple kiss to wash away the toxic environment we sometimes suffer in. I wish it were all this easy - just a simple kiss has so much power. Thank you one and all for your sweet comments. |

Hi Sharon, what a nice story. Good thing he made the right choice, or it would have been a whole other issue. Sandra |

Well now that's a happy ending if I ever read one! Sometimes we can indeed kiss our troubles away ... I'll have to remember that! Much enjoyed, my friend. Best wishes and hugs, /Kit |
