~ By Sue ~ I got a new job, closer to home The pay is alot better, than before My hours could not be more perfect My life is a little better, once more This little old lady took baby steps As we walked down the hall I held on to her small delicate hands Just to make sure she did not fall Her mind drifts to another place And she talks when no one is there She sleeps all day on the sofa Still, I let her know that I care There is only one who is there Who seems to have no trust To gain her confidence Is something that I must 8-16-03 |
