I'm stuck inside
It's like a trap
And in this trap
Lies the light
That should shine
Inside of me
But instead, dark's all I see
And in this trap
Lies a time
A time I could have been
And in this time I could have been
I only turned away

Inside I can't resist
It slowly seeps away
Every ounce of care
Fading in decay
And every time I look
And no one's there to shed
The slightest care into my eyes
I just break down to the noise
Of the failures deep inside
Deep inside of me

If only I had the chance
To turn my back
Now here I lay
On endless cracks
Of the time I try to hide
Away from everything inside
And only break to what I'm shown
And break away where no control
Rests in my hands anymore
I can't show you what I am
But I can promise you
That I'm still here

The light to follow emanates from the wisdom obtained through mistakes made...  no darkness can dampen this light though shadows may temporarily comfort the eyes which burn from this bright revelation...  An emotive write you have here -- one to which most of us can relate one way or another...

there is a pattern of light, very soft and profound...coming from the heart and core of all things which are hard...therein lies truth...to focus on each and every day....as if it were a fragile pail of golden sunlight, made just for us....from then comes the most magnificant of miracles...if we could only see...and understand, in order to feel, we've got to experience....if we don't feel...then what is there but poor existence.    This poem was amazing...

The internal clock has its own hands of time ...

it seems to never end for some
    and never enough for others.

It's always when time is still
that we have trouble seeing
what others can.

Perhaps if we were to break it down
just see each crack in itself
      and build from there

maybe then the light can be seen
         before the end of time.
