What Madness No matter how much we want our relationships to satisfy our needs it doesn't always happen like that. At times we will be called upon to accept the realization that we are holding on to a relationship that has gone bad. And although some believe that to prove their love they must keep holding on, I believe that this is merely a way to postpone the inevitable. For although love is an honorable profession, it is not love that wants to stay in places it is not wanted or needed. What madness creates these selfish desires to hold onto that which demands to be free. JamesLee June22 2003 [This message has been edited by JamesMichael (06-22-2003 08:08 AM).] |

Very true write. Well done! Till oceans cease to flow and deserts lose their sands, may beauty surround you every day and wealth be in your hands. |

What madness creates these selfish desires to hold onto that which demands to be free. I am reading some very thought provoking pieces this morning, James. This one really got my wheels turning. I think it is fear to step out on one's own that causes one to hold onto the lifeless. Yes, selfish fears... Excellent write, James. One of your very best! Patricia |

Thank you LeeJ, Jil, Marherita and Patricia for the nice responses... Margherita you are correct...I am only writing of relationships in which only one is trying...this is the solid foundation of a relationship...two loving people trying to work things out but also accepting the other for who they are with the understanding that no one is perfect..James |
