Does Anybody Miss The Bad Days?? |

Does anyone else miss the bad days The cold winter nights spent sleeping On the concrete ground, behind garbage Cans? Does anyone else miss the sad days The days spent in the same smokey rooms And the same spilt-beer-stench cars Unconcious? Does anyone else miss the hot tears And the way anger tastes in a bubble? The days you cried just to taste pain Exploding? Does anyone have the honest Answer of "Yes, I do"... If not yet the very quietest, meekest Squeak? Does anyone hear this built up secret One that went unnamed for so long And even when the name was there...I was So ashamed.... Does anyone else agree: I'm twisted Longing for days when you never knew What would happen......Spontanious combustion??-- Bring it ON! Does anyone else long for the long alleyways- Dark and broding...Without your flashlight? Neither the one that runs on batteries Or the one that runs on the Bible? Does ANYONE else wish to be naive And ignorant to the point That you didn't know that if you chased the horizon, The horizon will win the competition Without breaking a dewdrop? I knowI'm not the only one With a past itching Like a slowly healing scar To be let out... And am I the only one this twisted... This criminally insane, to wish that The knife that gouged the scar Were still here? Still wedged so far Within my skin That no spell nor meds nor amount of picking Could ever find its wretched point.... I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man. --Chang Tzu [This message has been edited by Balladeer (06-28-2003 11:18 PM).] |

Thank you very much Passing Shadows. I found the answer I was looking for while writing this...But now I've forgotten again I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man. |

I find myself longing for the days that really stunk for some reason. But life was simpler then, huh? "Does anyone else agree: I'm twisted Longing for days when you never knew What would happen...--Sh*t...Spontanious combustion??-- Bring it ON!"" AWESOME WORK AGAIN. I love the way you can switch your writing style around. I do that myself. |

This is a very outstanding piece to me, I've thought this many times myself. I both miss and remember the bad days better than others for some strange reason. "And am I the only one this twisted... This criminally insane, to wish that The knife that gouged the scar Were still here? Still wedged so far Within my skin That no spell nor meds nor amount of picking Could ever find its wretched point...." Thank you for sharing these thoughts with me. Yours truly ~Broken~ Such griefs with such men well agree, |

This is awesome, and so true. I don't know what you've experienced, but you tell this very well. |
