I learned to walk in record time, or so my mama would say. First words came just as easy, wasn't nuthin' I couldn't say. Became a teenager and knew it all, couldn't wait to learn to drive. Had a crush that broke my heart, wanted not to be alive. Got over that and turned sixteen, my heart became a wheel. Behind the hood of 69' Chevelle, with determination no one could steal. Eighteen creeped in and under my heart a precious angel grew. ...All the pain that lie ahead, if only then I'd knew. Twenty one came just as fast, now and wife and a mother. ...then came my daughter, a feeling unlike any other. Twenty five reared it's head, I was divorced and all alone. ...A single mother with two kids, where could my life had gone? Twenty seven came along, and my babies are growing up fast. ...I can't beleive that tomorrow thirty years have passed. Feeling a little down, maybe even blue. No longer in my twenties, and forty is coming too. Please visit my website: www.southerncountrywebdesign.com/~heart/ |
