Each Lunge

Each lunge absorbs me like a sponge
This place this space my mind would plunge
And acting like a sifting hand
Each day it takes a little sand

And though I plug the dyke each morn
I cannot stop the coming dawn
Tears of leak begin to peek in
All the nooks and crannies I seek

It seems to me an ugly crime
To place us in a warp of time
And age us to a withered doom
It does bring on a state of gloom.

But heed you those of phantoms stride
In giving up there is no pride
The joust is what it’s all about
Lift your lance your horse is stout.

In other words the game is you
And you must do what you must do.

Your horse is stout and better yet--
your dragon is dandy and reved up and randy.

and those will be my wisdom lines of way cool for the day.

Sometimes we just need the reminder... and you wrap it for us in perfect poetry. *S*

Ahh, but Seymour, by the time we are that withered and gloomy....we will be TOO old to care!! lol. We will just sit out on the porch in our rocking chairs and share tea and warm banana bread. Toast or tarts might be dangerous to our brittle jaw bones..lol.
Love this morning's read. hugs, Chris

Yes Seymour, and sometimes what we must  do
is not exactly what we want to do .
Thank you for the thoughts to ponder this morning.

Hugs to you

But if the game is real in feel
no contest then, but point of steel
to bleed the ink, erase the stink
uncover lovers, stand at brink

and thread the eye, tell no lie
stand beneath the bluest skies
feel the sun, then prepare to run
leave no stone unturned, 'til day is done.

yes its like a cruel joke sometimes...........
what is worse tho, is when i have to be trapped in a warp of society that tells me
what 48 is supposed to be like, not that i listen anyhow.......
