As Good as it Gets Fishing from your hand, I fall deeper into your reflection, distracted by your scents, you hide the sun with an old towel as our lips meet, and we dance with albacore and banana peppers, avocados hinting at strawberries incensed by Monet's bridge beneath the moon. We troll across oceans, and wander through galaxies, alighting here, our paths finally crossing through this finite cowl. Embracing each other in this tender birth, only some weeks old, Draw me to you, take me deep inside you as we revel in our bliss, our love is ours to give, and to keep sacred between us, stitched by fire, with a thread that will hold for eternity, to savor and enrich and to nurture into more blooms for our table. So I come to you tonight, and bring you this as you arise. My heart engulfed in wonder, beating closer to yours this night, enrapt by your beauty, tantalized, mesmerized, you surround me, and we taste a hint of the ecstasy of light.
