She doesn't need passion nights of lovers wrapped in lust illuminated sheets. She needs arms strong that know when to hold her despite the weight of her burdens. On tense days she needs hands willing to make the trek it takes to sooth muscles pulled taut from too many days of holding it all in. Shoulders soaking up so many of her tears that his heart feels them. Just someone who knows the difference between a passionate touch and a comforting touch. And understands when to give each. You could hurt me with your bare hands. You could hurt me using the sharp edge of what you say. JEWEL |
