If I could measure you in glass and place your double in a frame so that I could slide away and open up the pane. To feel the breeze upon my cheek when summer days grow longer and the night becomes too warm kept stirring in my sleep. If I could temper you in glass without shattering all my dreams I'd roll the shade back in the sky and swim up to your ocean. If I could measure you in glass I would tint it from all sides and watch the shadows disappear as the darkness blinds my eyes. ~*~ I hate to say what inspires me, I mean really, the guy just came to measure my window for God sake. (doesn't that just ruin it) |

Lori, LMFO That was excellent. I don't care how it was inspired. Well maybe a little. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

WAIT just a minute...you guys are too funny! I wasn't measuring HIM up, but he did fill the space quite nicely. Oh and about the installation ratleader, I haven't even got a price yet, so lets not go there. I can only afford so much, she works hard for the money ya know. Then again it's my window we're talking about, and I wouldn't want to miss anything good. Anyway, thanks for reading, now if he works a deal with me we'll be in business! Oh nevermind~ |

No. Your explanation does not ruin it. "If I could measure you in glass I would tint it from all sides and watch the shadows disappear as the darkness blinds my eyes." That says it all. |

Lori, I don't care where your inspiration came from, either....I loved this part, especially... To feel the breeze upon my cheek when summer days grow longer and the night becomes too warm kept stirring in my sleep. (Psssttt!! Your inspire was cute, though..) |

I think I'm in the wrong business! If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

It's wonderful something as simple as a window can inspire you. (Or was the installer really that good looking without his shirt on?)....Nice write sweetie... |

If I could temper you in glass without shattering all my dreams I'd roll the shade back in the sky and swim up to your ocean. If I could measure you in glass I would tint it from all sides and watch the shadows disappear as the darkness blinds my eyes. =============================== lovely lovely imagery, word play and personification poetess Blue... I had to giggle at your explain of inspire.. make me wonder what youd write about if the pizza boy was cute LOL No matter what the differences |

Now THAT is an inspiration for a nice poem. "There are three things men can do with women: love them, suffer for them, or turn them into literature." |

LOL..I just love this one...and no, the note at the end does not ruin it - it enhances it. We all know that an inspiration can come at any time, anywhere; by anything, or by anybody. It's the creation that really matters. Having said that, I hear that there is a shortage of window installers in the area. ...could be a window of...err...opportunity... CG |

Lori, I loved this one. And don't worry, I was once inspired by a guy in a petrol station! Dee Stand straight and tall, not the reflection as others see you, but as you truely are. Clearwater |
