By eye, to trace the long stem of pink crystal goblets
Spectral colors tinge my tongue in wine remember chills
Streams of feminine romantic play
That trickles every nerve in slope and sway
Soft spoken on the skin in trembled giggles
Faintly moist and sweet of scent as whispered spills
Rains of rose petals falling from a sudden smile
Winked warm in flood upon the contract of a snowy winter night
As the games of whipped cream tag and bubbles blown
Into a soft spring wind floating to the breeze as tickled senses
Pausing to savor just a touch in timeless drone

A painting crisp upon the soul
Softly spoken into candlelit shadows
Leaned in close to share a joke or lend an ear
The visiting of dreams once silent, still sacred
And all too often looping over, caresses of the mind
Blue satin ribbons slide through long and eager fingers
The harvesting of every pleasure
Rich in the texture of imaginations treasure
Crept into your thoughtful sleep to glow
Echo in my heart, but paused in stillness sing…
Poised waiting suds like cream through satin
Hand washed, warm…
And slipped on wet they cling

You have such a delicate touch with your words, TD.  This is something I have not mastered...I am working on it.  Verses like these help me to learn.  Thank you.

Smiling at Patricia's comment.....I don't
think any of us will ever master the words
as well as you, TD!!

This poem gave me a lot of visions that were
fun and tantalizing...  Whipped cream tag?
Surely you wouldn't?

Rich in the texture of imaginations treasure
Crept into your thoughtful sleep to glow

Like a fine wine, your words of love
are a vintage, meant to be savored,
and truly, I can never get enough.

Kathleen, I so enjoy the sensations you bring to mind.
