Pour my soul,
spill fiery currents
of hate and destruction,
all that I crave.
Leave my body empty,
cold and decayed.
I long to be numb,
souless and unafraid.

Seperated now,
I'm finally free.
Glare at you Lord,
why do you ignore me!
Think your so giving?
I never asked for this!
Still I remain greatful,
praying with innocence.

You just spit on me,
I feel it in the rain.
You built this world to mock me,
and laugh at all my pain,
till bored by this diversion,
distracted you turned away.
So now I turn from you too,
take this worthless soul of mine,
and get the hell away!

All is meant to be as it is. We have what we deserve, and what we do not deserve will make us stronger in the end. A nice rant.

Mike, I could write a few poems about the fights between me and God...I have felt what you write about more often than not. Good write, very expressive, and I'm sure we can all relate at one time or another.
