~*~
Sorrow
Empties the joy
And spirit from the heart,
Leaving a big hole in one's soul.
The emptiness can be all-consuming,
Blinding one to joys that remain.
Look at what we DO have,
So drown not in
Sorrow.

Linda...how true. I believe in the thought..."there is always someone worse off than myself." It's a waste of time having a pity party all on your own. hugs, Chris

Ah, Linda, my hubby is always telling me to count by blessings and stop pissin' and moanin'. I have forwarded this wonderful piece to him which he'll probably hold over my head forever!!!

Me, complain, ask me about today's glorious, splendiferous weather.

Huggles, Marti

Chris ~

That's for sure! There is ALWAYS someone worse off!--far worse! Let's count ourselves the fortunate ones--in spite of the lows that we may encounter in our lives.

Marti,  you are such a love!  Your sending of my poem to your honeybun Ron, is what writing poetry is all about for me!--reaching out and touching someone with my words! Thank you for that little shot in the arm that we artistic types need once in awhile just to help keep the creative juices flowing!

Enjoy your "glorious, splendiferous, weather"!

Loving hugs,
Linda

You're right! I got sick of being upset all the time, so I decided to focus on the good instead of the bad.

Skyshine ~

A star such as yourself, who puts shine in the sky, should "focus on the good, not the bad"!

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Linda, this is beautiful, sweet friend, I used to let myself as a little boy sink in sorrow, though I was helpless being abused and all physically and emotionally, though now I wish I could have known then! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, your heart shines with sympathy, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Noah ~

I am so pleased that many of those sorrows from the past are behind you now.  What you have experienced in life has made you stronger and more effective working with children because  you understand so much more!

Warm huggums!

Words of wisdom in meter!
As that old song goes:
"Accentuate the Positive ~
Eliminate the negative"
Such a better way to live!
Great write!

Till oceans cease to flow and deserts lose their sands, may beauty surround you every day and wealth be in your hands.

EA,

Missed your words, my friend.  I have been tied up with some other projects.  But this morning, I had to visit you.  Holy smokes, I am glad I did!

Sometimes it is comfortable to wallow in the sorrow.  But what good comes?  In fact, you are no good to anyone in this state, especially no good to yourself.

You never miss...always hitting heart's target.  Wonderful.
