Building days on broken dreams, living nights of silent screams, kept alive believing lies while knowing happiness denies that shams are needed, to derive the onslaught, when the winds arrive to shred the veil of hidden strength and leave it tattered shards at length ...still living. Breathing as a reflex art, seeing worlds be torn apart and empires reduced to dust, wondering, what now is just? We all just seem to sevive its so true. These lines hit me so hard as being oh so true, and the power that the media wields is simply unbelievable... Clinging to the latest craze of roaring media driven haze Excellent insight and writing. |

Some days I am so ready to be done that can not imagine what keeps me alive. Then I realize that when it really is time, I will know. Thank you for reading my poem and for your comments. The picture was taken unexpectedly by an associate who is a camera fanatic. I had just come in from a clear winter's day. There is a story connected with the name I use; I have not yet found a way to tell it. I don't know about "Toaster Oven" how about "Volcanic Flower?"
