Mind to Let

There’s a traitor inside my brain –
she plots incessantly behind my mind,
turning a crazy idea over and over
like a puzzle box,
as though all sides together might hold clues.

I tell her answers are not found
in twisting colored blocks,
they shy from sight when viewed straight on,
disappearing like a comet’s tale.

She invades sleep, stabs at dreams
with talons sharp by malcontent.
She’s full of schemes and selfish angles,
certain she can convince me to join
in our plans for escape.

Morning does not soften us.
We do not require sleep,

now that she’s got all of my minds.

Wow...really liked this,  reminds me of my
muse on some days when it just doesn't come
together....  Really like the ending, all
of your minds....sheesh,  I have enough
trouble with just one overly active one,
let alone..more than 1!!!

all of your mind huh?  I really enjoyed this one, probably because I have felt this way many times.

I like this very much, Cor... think we've all known that traitor at one time or another... she must have quite a mind collection by now. *S*
