Toerag came back from his vacation, A tired and wasted man. Feeling ill, full of nauseation, Clearly ailing from what he had. He checked himself into a hospital, Feeling woozie and out of touch. Feverish, sick, not just a little, Like us, when he's written poetry too much. He fainted there in the Emergency Room, And they checked him in the next day. When he came to, his head was aswoon, His complexion a sickly gray. The telephone rang beside his bed, He answered with a faltering, "Hello?" "This is Doctor 'Deer," the respondent said, "I've got bad news for you, Toe." "You've contacted a rare and contagious disease, It's acronym is GASH. Consists of gonorhea, Aids, SARS, and herpes, You must have had one heckuva bash." "What can you do for me, Dr. Balladeer? Will you treat me with a new wonder drug?" "We're going to start with a diet, it's clear, That will help us deaL with your bug." "For the next few days your diet will consist Of pancakes, pizza, quesadillas, pita bread, and nothing more." Toe asked, "Will this diet cure me so I won't be sick?" 'Deer said, "No. But it's the only foods that will fit under the door." That poor Toerag - He's a real medical case. |

Hey there, Ethel! It's been so long since I've written anything. Thanks for the support. I'm sure that scalawag Toe will protest and call me unspeakable things. It's nice to know there are people who will stand up and be counted - heh. |

Well lookie here what the cat dragged in! LOL I oughtta know by now that when a joke starts making the email rounds, pegleg sailors might soon be found! *G* But "nauseation"???? That's some of that poetic license schtuff... right??? LOL Thanks for the grins, sailor... it's good to see you 'round these parts again... stop and stay awhile, why dontcha? *G* Now... if you'll excuse me... I'm off to apply for a nursing job. *G* |

Pleasure to meet you. I am Patricia, freshman poet. I kept looking at the topic...then looking at the topic starter. You had me really confused for a moment, that is until I saw your pic. Hey LJ I'll do my best to avoid Toe for fear he may be contagious. And I'll bet you hadn't even heard about the report on your Trip with Toe. And welcome back big guy! If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |
