More Of Less

My words have lost their meaning so,
will halt when I shall let all go.
The bothering of phrases lost.
No matter, freeing was the cost.

I ponder this to wonder that
remembering once a loss of hat.
Of horse and ride and scenic view.
No matter, freeing me from you.

A visit never feeds the need
nor heeds the call of longing read.
I mess with rhymes escape today
in words, mine seemed to lose their way.

To rhyme or not, I never know.
They press the keys, and fingers go
and grow the lines from feelings then
and now they empty once again.

Mirror mirror, on the wall
standing short of feeling tall.
To Alice me, and leave me small
I turn away, towards lonely hall.

And see before me, emptiness,
a shadow's walk down "more of less".
