Listening to every heart

Atrophy

It is
what I fear
some wasting away, some silently slithering withering
of mental streams, a blockage that will
weaken my will
then shrivel my soul

Atrophy

I know the ink bottle will dry up ~
a shake of it will be crackling sounds,
not fluid, sans life, Sahara dry

Atrophy

the reasoning of deterioration
is to make more room, and dust doesn’t take
much room,
easily movable, just
blow

and it goes…

and may be it is
I don’t truly fear it, maybe the truth is
that it is an aberration, both words
requiring the need of F as a grade
for being,

for who needs either?

this is something, I feel, that you will never have to worry about. . .

well done. . .yes, I have to find this one as well. . .

This is a wonderful piece of writing as usual which should prove that "atrophy"  will never happen in your writing.

Now what is this challenge. I can't keep up...that's what I get for talking on the phone instead of being here with you!

You did a really good job with this, Karilea. I loved it, and am saving it to read again...

I seriously doubt that. Your ink bottle like your words is magic and refills itself while you are sleeping.     Wonderful. hugs, Chris
