Two and a Half

God said "I think I have a mold.
It's hardly used it's almost new.
I saved it for a special child
After its use for Amy Sue."

He found the form and dusted it,
Stored thirty years, a little grime.
He had the angels clean it well,
To waste it would have been a crime.

He said, "This made one faultless child,
Good for another one I know."
A few small changes and behold
Our perfect little Hannah Jo.

The eyes the same as Mother's are,
The dark of hair, the dimpled cheek.
The happy laugh, the lovely smile;
And yet she is a bit unique.

He sighed and broke the mold in two,
"The world deserves no more you know.
Two masterpieces quite enough;
Sweet Amy Sue and Hannah Jo."

When she is a bit older, she
Will read this poem and perhaps laugh
At her great-grandma's fantasy;
When Hannah was two and a half.

Ohmygosh!!  What a beautiful child!
And such a wonderful keepsake of a poem!
Beautifully penned...she is a lucky little girl.

Cute! I'm sure if Hannah sees this picture when she is older, she will treasure it.

I blew your beautiful Hannah Jo kisses and well wishes!

She is also fortunate to have her great-grandmother around! I do not know how old you are chronologically speaking, but your spirit is young!--and your soul is old!

This was Lovely with a capital "L"! A poetic treasure!

Sending love to you and Amy Sue as well!

Linda

Dear Friends.  I think she is something to share and she is the picture of her own mother Amy Sue at that age.  Love, Joyce

Hi Joyce...

This is so sweet! And Hannah is gorgeous. She may laugh when she's older, but she'll know that her great grandma loves her!

such a beautiful and heartfelt write.
you both are indeed very lucky she is
so adorable, and very beautiful. make sure
you save this and show it to her when she
gets older. She's going to love you even
more!

Take care
