Addiction (Devil's Protocol) Behind fares bold merchants bear their trade to pigeon beaks. The sumggled secrets hidden there bring sugar souls their peace. Clouds of dark that cloak the heart with shadowed dreams forlorn turn to cotton candy art when Captain Snow sails the horn. Chorus: Under the sky's wide oceans When the hollow morning calls There's no future in devotion to the devil's protocol. In the daylight's growing hype center stage awaits it's late the curtain drawn, the warning lights the workday crutch in place. Flush cheeks and answered color stepping out among the crowd a burst of genius hovers in a spell of borrowed proud. Chorus: Under the sky's wide oceans When the hollow morning calls there's no future in devotion to the Devil's protocol. The magic conversation the climb up vision's stairways. A poet's sphere sagacious here while the journey back awaits. Back where the mood dispenses the soul returns to hide and in the gloom defenseless small voices cry for lines..... Chorus: Under the sky's wide oceans When the hollow morning calls there's no future in devotion to the Devil's protocol. Small voices cry for lines small voices cry for lines.......fade The best teachers have the biggest ears |

Yep, drug addiction is a dead end road. It's a serious subject, handled well in your song. Forgive me one chuckle though? that typo in the first stanza made me giggle. |

Your words are laid down so rhythmically, I do believe I can hear the song... Warm hugs, EA |

sigh. Thank you, Eric. I just do not have the words to express these things right now. I felt as tho I just heard a dirge for myself. |
