From midst the darkness of sleep, While sirens moan and skies weep, Visions come from thought’s shadows, And I’m walking beneath rainbows With wet sand cool to my feet The grit buffing smooth my toes. Walking beside hand in hand Warmer than the summer sand Broad-rimmed hat shadows her face Step by step the beach we pace, Not to know or understand, We walk fingers interlaced. Red skies drip and she is gone, The seas boil as I walk on Sand turns to rock sharp as glass Footprints drip as slowly pass The trail hardens but goes on Plunging to vivid darkness. Screeching tires harsh echo Visions lost in the shadow Dreams return to sand once on But now alone still she’s gone, Skies hold inverted rainbow Her smile with me in the sun. Gloom |

No one can capture the thoughts as you can, and provide us with unexpected endings such as you did here! There is always a touch of mystery and intrigue waiting in your words, and I enjoy the different paths that you lead us down!! ~S~ Accept these small gifts from my gypsy heart ~~S~~ |
